📣✨ National Competition “Science, Religion, Education 2026” ✨📣
The National Competition “Science, Religion, Education 2026” is addressed to upper-secondary school students 🎓 who, in the form of a scientific poster 🖼️📊, will explore the relationship between science and religion in contemporary education 🔬✝️📚.
The competition is organized as part of the project “Equipping Leadership in the Age of Science” (ECLAS) 🌍 at the Faculty of Theology of Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń 🏛️, in cooperation with the Pro Futuro Theologiae Foundation 🤝.
Participants, individually or in teams of up to three people 👤👥, may explore topics such as:
🔹 ethics of technology 🤖⚖️
🔹 transhumanism 🧬
🔹 evolution from scientific and religious perspectives 🌱🔬✝️
🔹 God’s action in the world 🌍🙏
🔹 the problem of evil in relation to the goodness of creation ⚖️✨
📬 Applications are accepted until February 22, 2026 ⏰ and should be sent to scire@umk.pl 📧. Submissions must include a poster description (up to 150 words) 📝, the title (“Science and Religion in Contemporary Education”), as well as the participants’ details, the supervisor, and the school 🏫. 🖼️ Completed posters should be submitted by March 2, 2026.
🎤 Selected finalists will present their projects on March 11, 2026 📅 before the Competition Committee and participants of an international conference 🌐 at the Faculty of Theology of NCU (ul. Gagarina 37, Toruń) 📍. Each presentation will last 10 minutes ⏱️, including questions.
🏆 Prizes:
🥇 PLN 1,500 – 1st place
🥈 PLN 900 – 2nd place
🥉 PLN 600 – 3rd place
✨ honorable mentions: PLN 300 each + material prizes 🎁
👉 in team entries, prizes are divided equally 🤝
The competition promotes interdisciplinary thinking 🧠🔗 by combining scientific knowledge with theological reflection, thus developing students’ critical thinking skills 🚀📖.
👩🏫👨🏫 Teachers are welcome to support students in choosing topics and carrying out their projects.
