✨🌿 INVITATION TO THE NEXT “SCIENTIA ET FIDES” SEMINAR ✨🌿
We warmly invite you to the next meeting in the Scientia et Fides seminar series, dedicated to biblical and patristic reflections on the mystery of creation 📖🌍
🎙 Speaker:
Fr. Dr. habil. Mieczysław (Celestyn) Paczkowski OFM, Prof. at Nicolaus Copernicus University
👨🏫 Patristics scholar, historian of biblical exegesis, expert in Eastern Christianity and the Holy Land ✈️. He has lectured in Jerusalem and Rome, serves as a guide for pilgrimage groups to the Middle East, and collaborates with the Custody of the Holy Land in Poland.
📌 Seminar topic:
“The New Creation in the Light of Romans 8:18–22. Patristic Interpretations”
💭 During the seminar, we will explore one of the most profound New Testament passages, in which St. Paul presents the suffering and hope of all creation 🌱⛓️➡️🌟
🔎 The Church Fathers interpreted this text both cosmologically and anthropologically, recognizing the solidarity of all creatures in suffering and the promise of their renewal. As the speaker will show, these reflections remain highly relevant today, helping us move beyond a simplified “ecologism” and rediscover the deeper meaning of creation 🌍🙏
🗓 When? January 22, 2025
🕖 Time: 7:00 PM
📍 Where? Room 3a, Faculty of Theology, Nicolaus Copernicus University
💻 Online: Remote participation is available – register by scanning the QR code on the graphic 📲
We invite everyone interested in the dialogue between the Bible, theology, and the thought of the Church Fathers 🤍
